We had the occasion to setup shared calendaring for our office. Here is a quick to-do list:<\/p>\n

Prerequisites:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Server must be a full Open Directory system (not standalone)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Basic Steps:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Setup DNS name for calendar: ical.networkjack.info<\/li>\n
    2. Setup iCal Server on OS X Server, including setting up vhost for calendar<\/li>\n
    3. Turn on Calendaring (in Advanced tab in Workgroup Manager) for all users who will be calendar<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Client Setup (Mac OS X 10.5)<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Add server as a Directory using Directory Utility, so that you can search<\/li>\n
      2. Add account for iCal Server within iCal (Prefs -> Accounts)\n
          \n
        1. username : password<\/li>\n
        2. ical.networkjack.info:8008<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        3. Setup delegation to other users (this is where the Directory comes in)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
